Bookkeeper

Private school seeking Bookkeeper to perform accounting and clerical duties related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions. MS Office & QuickBooks required. Excellent salary/benefits.

Job Type: Full-time.

Main Job Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities

  • assemble, review and verify invoices and check requests
  • flag and clarify any unusual or questionable invoice items or prices
  • sort, code and match invoices
  • set invoices up for payment
  • enter and upload invoices into system
  • track expenses and process expense reports
  • prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
  • prepare and perform check runs
  • post transactions to journals, ledgers and other records
  • reconcile accounts payable transactions

Direct Support Professional

Reports to Adult Center Supervisor

Job Description:

  • Support consumers to engage in activities that support their ISP Outcomes.
  • Support consumers in group and individual activities under the direction of the Activity Director.
  • Participate in daily program activity planning, preparation, and clean up.
  • Work as team member to support consumers with personal care needs for feeding, toileting, ambulating, transferring and health monitoring per ISP under the direction of the Client Care coordinator.
  • Assist consumers in therapeutic activities, etc., as deemed necessary by the therapy team.
  • Help create a positive compassionate environment.
  • Foster positive relationships.
  • Participate in daily documentation.
  • Attend all staff meetings, appropriate planning sessions, in-service workshops, trainings, etc.
  • Drive the Center’s vans for transporting consumers to and from their home daily, and in the community for community activities.
  • Perform any other tasks deemed necessary to the program supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must possess a valid NJ State Driver’s License.
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment physical, criminal background check and fingerprinting process.
  • Willing and able to develop positive relationships with staff, parents, and consumers.
  • Physical strength to lift and/or transfer clients with assistance.
  • Complete orientation and College of Direct Support courses in required timeframe.

Support Personnel – Paraprofessional – Teacher Aide

Overall Responsibility:

  • Provide staff support in an educational environment
  • Perform Para-professional work in assisting teachers and students
  • Assists certified staff in the instruction, supervision and training of individuals or groups of students (ages 3 to 21 years) with a variety of special education needs.
  • Work with children individually or in small groups providing instruction in reading, writing, math, spelling, art, or other education-related activity
